I called Intel to inquire about this situation, and to find out how long we would have to wait for official Windows 2000 drivers. They claimed that their Pro Share cameras were not designed for business or corporate usage, and they do not plan on supporting the NT environment. The gentleman that I had the pleasure of speaking with, refused to help me in any way, or answer any of my queries immediately after I let it be known that I was dual booting between Win2k and Win98. Furthermore, he raised his voice numerous times, so as to speak (or yell in this case) over me. He then called me a moron when I told him that it seemed pretty irresponsible of the company he was representing, to support only two versions of the Windows operating system. His name calling was followed by a "mysterious" *click* noise. I was then prompted to "please hang up and try my call again" by a familiar recorded voice.
I too, would love to see a driver for this camera, if anyone reading this knows of a way to force the installation on Windows 2000, please email me.

Is there an end for this?
I'm in desperate need for this Driver, this is being used for the Managing Director's video confereincing requirements, who is in INTEL to tell us that this is not geared for the corporate users?
Your help would be appreciated if you find this driver

I cant believe Intel, a company who has been around since the dawn of computers, refuses to add support for USB Pro Cam's. Isn't MS NetMeeting a business application? Are there any WebCams that are supported by NT/2000?? Or is intel the only ones who are blind?

I recently bought Intel's pocket cam...& it is pretty much useless since I am running W2K Pro...Its kinda sad that Intel is losing ground to its competitor AMD, but maybe its time for AMD to stand at the top for awhile...I run Windows 2000 for its stability, compared to many BSD screens I get in Win 95/98/ME, that is why I rather run NT...what was Intel thinking???żżż...apparently they have their thumbs up their ahole...

At the time when so many people have broadband at home and are running their own web sites on a local computer, Windows 2000/NT is the only choice left!
Actually I've contacted Intel with similar question and got the same answer - they are not going to support it. Dam! FutureShop should be advising about the fact that Intel does not properly support their products!
BTW, now is 10:40 pm on 19 October 2000 and
Intel's web site is not responding. They are
probably dancing too much ...
Creative webcam go plus support win2K. Intel is really blind

I can say by far and away the largest mistake that the "Fortune 500" has been making in reference to the internet is to not realize the potential for a negative customer experience will become posted, e-mailed, irc'ed, and newsgrouped. A few can become many.
Early adopters always take it in the shorts.
