Win2000 Drivers for 5700 / spooler service

After installing Win2k the 5700 worked OK fo r a while but now spooler service on Win2000 won't start and printing is impossible.
Can anyone tell if I need new drivers for the printer or if it's the spooler service?

The exact same thing happens with the Z31 printer...and it becaomes virtually impossible to uninstall the printer. Of course I'm using NT4 drivers. It completely screws up the system. From the above post, it seems that Lexmark isn't going to support the Z series for W2K. This doesn't help, but I understand.

I have a 5700 as well, I cannot get my drivers installed, and there are no 2000 drivers offered now, and I don't know if there will. Lexmark is the worst!!!

I can't believe that I can't use my lexmark 5700 under win2k..... what's wrong with lexmark ? why don't they release drivers for windows 2000 ?? damn
