I have been trying for the last month and a half to install my WORKING ATI Rage Fury on my ALi Aladdin V system (with working AGP slot) but no matter what I try it won't detect my ATI and therefore won't boot or post. Other AGP cards work fine, and the ATI works fine in other systems, but not mine.
I have upgraded the BIOS with everything ASUS has, tried every ALiAGP version out there, tried every setting in CMOS, and nothing.
Anyone have suggestions?

I had similar problem with ATI Xpert 128. P5a-B had default bios setting of AGP Turbo mode enabled. This must be set to disabled to work properly with ATI Rage products, and possibly with your chip also. It's function is not clear, neither ALI or Asus describes its function.
Good luck
