I tried the NT 4 drivers from the OPTi web site and I still couldn't get it working. I was able to get to a dialog box with some DMA channel settings and other stuff but none of those settings worked.

Has anyone figured how to get the OPTi 931 to work in win2k yet? It seems like all the cheap soundcards dont work with it and i do not want to waste 30+ for a sound card with no extra benifits.

You got the NT4 driver to work with Windows 2000 Pro, using an 82C931 Opti chipset soundcard? How???
I've got one and like everyone else, Win2K won't use it, and the NT4 Opti drivers from their website don't work.

Almost six month is over since i posted this message and it is leading to nowhere. NT 4.0 driver do not work in W2K prof release version build 2195. If anyone is having a concrete solution then post the same with driver details, W2K build and machine configuration.
