I need a video card update to 800x600. I currently have a S3Trio32/64 PCI. Being a novice - I need help!!!!

Per the URL above, it can only be one or the other. The Trio32 has the 732 chipset and the Trio64 has the 764 chipset.

First, go to this URL and download the DOS-based program "s3id.exe". This program will query the video cards chipset and return which chipset number that it is. http://www.s3.com/swlib/enduser/

Jim- Thank you for your help. I ran the program you suggested. It says I have a Trio64 (764) chipset.

I need to run a program that requires 800x600. If I download a different video adapter - will that solve my problem? What is your recommendation?
