I have a generic cheapy motherboard that has pretty much everything on board. I recently had to format my hard drive and reinstall windows. Now my graphics adaptor is no longer working properly. I have a handbook for the motherboard but it doesnt show me where the chip is and msd and windows cant detect the chip properly. I can get lots of details like bios version for the vga chip etc and I know that it is sis but I cant find the actual graphics adaptor manufacter or chip number etc. I have tried to install about 5 - 6 different sis graphics drivers but non seem to work properly. I was wondering if anyone could recommend what driver I use. The details I have are..............
vga mode 3
bios e - ver 1.04a 08-1
support vesa bios version 2.0
vesa ver 2.00
That is basically word for word from msd.
Help me pleeeaaassseeeee!!!! :-<

I do not know if this will report the correct information or not. But if you are not intimidated by the DOS program called DEBUG, then it is worth a shot. You will only be performing a memory dump onto the screen.
