Anyone know where I can find something like this? The Microsoft CDROM driver works for normal operation, but none of my CD burning programs recognize the drive as recordable... of course except CD Extreme which came with it... Help, por favor....

What other apps are you trying to use? Have you checked out their websites for updates which would include support for more burner models?

The only app that I really want to work is CDRWIN, and I am using the latest beta 4.0. This software previously worked under Win98SE with this burner...

Go to this <a href="http://www.disc4you.com/products/goldenhawk/faq.html#NT/2000" target="_blank">link</a> and carefully follow the instructions for installing CDRWIN under W2K.
You can download the W2K ASPI support driver <a href="http://home.t-online.de/home/310020958894-0001/aspi!.exe" target="_blank">here</a>.

Ok, no ASPI missing message now, but CDRWIN says that I have no supported devices installed... ???

Well, since your drive wasn't specifically listed in CRWIN's compatibility list I guess you're stuck asking their tech support for the next step. At least we've eliminated the obvious....
Good Luck.
