What is the best model selection of the 2036S of the available options in Windows 98SE?? My 6 year old Sony multiscan GDM-2036S is not a listed option in the Displays in Windows 98SE, although a number of other Sonys are. I arbitrarily chose Multiscan 20SE, but the colors are not correct. I only realized this recently when I viewed the same photo on the Sony and on a new laptop, The sony shows much more orange-yellow and dark. There are no drivers for the GDM-2036S on the Sony site, but curiously Windows ME(for example) does list this model in the displays selection. I need to calibrate using Adobe Gamma, but hesitate to do so before establishing the correct or nearest correct identification. Maybe calling it Multiscan 20SE is the problem and the colors will be correct if I change? Sony is impossible to communicate with. Please advise.
