I am seeking a driver for the CDROM Discman PRD-650. The CDROM drive is connected to an IBM ThinkPad 235-20 laptop using a Sony SCSI 1460 PCMICA card. The Operating System on the laptop is Windows 98. Windows 98 has created a SCSI driver for the Sony SCSI 1460 PCMICA card; but, Windows 98 can't see the CDROM connected on the other end of the PCMICA card. As a result, the CDROM drive is obsecured from the machine and does not show up in the my computers listing or as drive D in DOS.

I downloaded from Sony's Web site a Windows 95 package which included the Ezscsi program that is suppose to interface the CDROM with the Windows 95 Operating system; but may not be totally correct for Windows 98. The Winaspi.dll data link library is a 1995 product that doesn't apparently interface well with Windows 98 either.

I am willing to listen to other suggestions. I have tried driver's for the CDROM drive in the config.sys find that are aimed directly at the CDROM itself; but, because the config.sys file loads before the SCSI card is noticed operating system doesn't see the drive and the line produces an error message in DOS before the machine boots.

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
