I have 2x Sony CD ROM drive that is installed. It was included in a Reveal multimedia kit that bought in 1993 or 1994. It is a Sony MFX02 drive. It worked fine for years but suddenly, after a brown out, the drive is no longer recognized. The drive letter is gone. I tried to reintall the driver from the floppy disk but this did not work. When I first installed the CD ROM drive I had Windows 3.1 but later upgraded to Windows95. I tried both original floppy disks (i.e., the one f or DOS and the one for Windows 3.1). Do I need a new driver for Windows95 or is there some other remedy? Any help would be appreciated. Thank-you.

I was wondering if you figured it out because I have about the same problem..I went to install win95 and it said that there was no driver. It was a IBM computer 1994. Sony ATAPI CDROM Device driver version 2.26a.......thats what it said and then that there were no drivers. Your e-mail is not working!!!!!!!!!
