I recently installed my old p2l97-s motherboard in a friends computer. Got everything working except when I booted up, it found "new hardware-pci bridge" and wanted drivers installed. It also found "new hardware-pci card" and wanted drivers also. There is no pci card installed but the old video card was an s3 pci card. I installed my old #9 Revolution card in the agp slot.
I can remove the pci bridge and pci card in the "other devices" section of the device manager, but when I reboot they return. Can anyone tell me where to get the drivers to install for the pci bridge?

Download and flash your ASUS P2L97 motherboard's BIOS to the latest version (=>here (http://www.asus.com.tw/products/motherboard/bios_slot1.html#p2l97-s/index.html)<=). I think setup is looking for the on-board SCSI drivers. Download the "7890v302.zip" SCSI driver file from here (http://www.asus.com.tw/products/addon/scsi/scsilan_drv.html#aic-all)... http://forums.windrivers.com//cgi-bin/forum2/biggrin.gif

Oh, one more thing. Make sure you've set BIOS to use the AGP slot first. Most ASUS motherboards default to using the PCI slot first as the default... http://forums.windrivers.com//cgi-bin/forum2/eek.gif
