update necessary?

I have a stb nitro 3d video display card, without stb vision 95. As I experience regular display problems, I wonder whether updating the driver can help. The existing drivers are stbnt3d.drv and stbnt3c.vxd and vmm32.vxd. On the stb site, I found a driver version of 1997. That seemed quite old to me.

If you can tell me what chipset is on the card itself, you may be able to find a generic driver which is more current, otherwise, it's an old card and not support any more.
