I am having MAJOR trouble installing my Trident 4MB AGP 9750 with NT 4.0 SP5. I have downloaded the latest drivers from http://www.trid.com/Drivers/Net9x50/NT40-9x5.exe
. I install the driver, then NT reboots, and I get to the Display Properties, Settings page to choose the Color Palette and Desktop Area information. This is where I have the problem. There is nothing to choose in the Color Palette area, and the Desktop Are dropdown box contains (0x1, 0x2, 0x3, and 0x4) as the options for the resolution. If I just click "OK", then I get an error writing to c:\winnt\system32\desk.cpl
. This can only be fixed if I change back to the original Standard VGA Diaplay Adapter.
Please help! I don't need anything special, just 256 Colors!
