I received a 56k modem from a co-worker. He doesn't have any documentation and only knows it's 56k.
I have been to the 3com web site and, as others have noted, it is severely lacking. I sent e-mail to various addresses (when I could find one) from their site. Half were returned undeliverable and the rest went unresponded to.
I also tried the FCC ID search on this site, but I can't seem to locate a valid FCC number.
The modem has a barcode sticker that lists the serial number and:
"PRODUCT: 3C0426297400-83010"
but then there's also another barcode sticker on the back that says:
"DP/N 0002513E Rev. A00"
There are no jumpers or dip switches, so I'm inclined to think it's a winmodem, but Windows95 only detects it as a "PCI Communication" device (it is PCI).
Can anybody help me out?
