The ATI TV-WONDER fits its name 100%. I WONDER if I am ever going to get this thing to work.
ATI talks about how its card has all these options and all these features. But if I cannot get it to work in my machine, what the heck good is it?
I could understand having a problem if I didn't have name brand parts in my pc, but everything I have is name brand. AWE64, USR56k, ViperV770, Adaptec 2940, 3Com nic, Western Digital drive, ABIT BX6C mb, Intel PII 400.
I have tried for 2 weeks to get this POS card to work.
ATI said through their "wonderful" tech support: "Maybe you have something else conflicting with it." Maybe I don't! No other device is using any of the same memory or Irq settings.
If anyone has any suggestions, please e-mail me: jase@netdoor.com
Thanks,
Jase

I assume you know you have to use the an old version of nVidia's(available at Diamond's site) drivers to get at all.
The fun sure dosen't end there tough.
I have been workin' on mine for a couple days now, I get to work the initial intalation reboot, but then next time I turn on my PC it's shot. No conflicts, no nothin it just loads up(real slow this time) and display a still of the image that was there when it last worked!!!

Hi Jase,
I hear that you are having conflicts with your card. Getting it to work right and all.
It's not as hard as it sounds, and beleive
me, it's a lot easier to install than a Rage Pro 2 graphics card with T.V tuner 128 series. When I had the Ati TV wonder card
running under Win 98, I had no problem in setting it up, since I also have a Nvidia Riva TNT 2 3D graphics card, and they work together smoothly without conflict.
The only problem that I encounter now with my last card(Ati TV Wonder) is finding Beta
release drivers to run under Win 2000.
I'd like to make note here, that it's important to be sure that the TV card itself
will be both compatible with your graphics card, depending upon what type you have, and
the current OS that you are using.
For example: You cannot have a Rage Pro 128 TV tuner card running with an Nvidia TNT 2 card under Windows 98, because both cards are
graphics cards in themselves, and will one, namely the Nvidia TNT 2, overide the other.
(So I have found out, by trial and error.)
Yes, I know that is frustrating sometimes with these TV and graphics cards causing conflicts. I would also recommend looking on the side panel of the box and finding out whether your TV card supports the graphics boards that are listed there. If yours isn't mentioned there, then you've run into a problem. If it is there, then you're fine.
If your still having problems, I would recommend moving your T.V. card up to a free
slot to be near your Graphics card, and then let Windows detect the hardware. After that
just install the drivers for it again.
I had to do the same thing with my DVD player to get it working properly under Win 2000.
So, Again..it's all about Trial and Error.
