Sound Card Problem: Please Help

I just recently bought an Asound card That came with 2 driver cds(2000 Asound Express Ver. 2.0 and Genica Express) I installed it and It worked fine even after I restarted my computer I shut it down and came back later and every time I tried to start windows 98 it locked up and gave me the Blue Screen...It kept doing this until I disabled the windows sounds but every time I played something it would lockup and automatically restart...or repeat and lockup/restart... I have tried almost every thing and I am really in desperate need of help...I have tried almost every driver out there(Asound, Asonic, Avance Logic, Realtek) My sound card is a PCI ASP003 with an ALS4000 chip...
Please Help...I am open for suggestions!!!

My problem is similar, my system freezes while playing sound in certain programs like mIRC, IE5, and some of the PTS programs like Cashsurfers and Getpaid4. Something in relation to a connection and the card.
