I'm having trouble locating all the drivers required to run the MMC (Multimedia center) software properly. I'm running WIN98 SE and when I try to use the television application, it says "TV player failed to initialize the video...try to install new drivers, blah, blah, blah".

ATI site says see the CD that came with the card, but I don't have the CD.

Any help would be appreciated greatly!
John.

Just to inform you...ATI have just recently updated their drivers for the All in Wonder 128 Pro. This was dated 28 March 2001

They have included an upgrade to Multimedia Center 7.x (...without DVD) and a separate program for the software DVD Player...but you may need the original cd to confirm that you have used an earlier version on your system.

Thought that you want to know that !

OK - I talked with Tech support - here are some answers about installing the ATI All In Wonder Pro 128 TV failed to initialize video on Windows 2000 machine.

#1) Download the latest drivers from ATI
#2) Download Direct x8
#3) Go to the website below and install teh Digital Video update for Direct X8 http://www.microsoft.com/directx/

Then, you also have to uninstall ALL ATI drivers and multimedia center (use regedit to clean out the registry).

The gist is that the digital video update MUST be installed before the ATI device driver and multimedia center is installed.

Took me way too long screwing around with other setups - this way worked.

Thanks for the message, but I have the All-In-Wonder card (the first version) not the 128 or 128 PRO card. I eventually found someone with the original CD-ROM that came with this type of card and I'm good now. Thanks for your efforts!!
