That is too old for 2k, you can try the NT driver though, it may work.

That is because the sound card is too old. If you cannot force the drivers to install, you cannot use the card with XP. XP is a new operating system designed for NEW equipment. If you want your old equipment to work, then use and operating system designed to support that equipment such as windows 98.
