LA30N drivers for Windows XP ???? HELP ME, PLEASE !!
Well, bummer...it looks like HP/Compaq/Digital seems to have dropped all support for those old dot matrix printers. software and drivers for your Compaq product (http://wwss1pro.compaq.com/support/home/selectproduct.asp?destination=swdrivers) If you follow the bouncing ball, you end up withThis web site is scheduled to retire February 2004.
If you can't select it via your normal Add Printer Wizard then you may be SOL.

Try one of the dot matrix printers such as the Epson FX-100+. Alot of these printers use the same base drivers.
