My Atapi Mary500 CD-Rom drive doesnt work...

Hey guys. My Atapi Mary500 CD-Rom suddenly just doesnt read any more. It says it is working properly,but it doesnt read any CD I put in there. Any help?

Edit - My CD-Rom is a 52x Max.

It could be one of five things

Its decided to die - test by putting it in another pc, see if it works or get a bootable cd, set bios to boot from cd and see if it can boot from cd.

The bios settings are incorrect - check the cd rom is set to auto

The cabling or jumpers are not correct

The cd lens inside is dirty
