ATI rage fury maxx : help please!

I' ve got this problem:
I installed windows me and the latest driver
for fury maxx but when i increment brightness and i launch games the brightness doenìt seem to be interested about the value i gave and so the result is that i can't see anything cause the screen is too dark.
With every other video card this problem does't exist.
Anybody has the same problem?
Anybody has the answer or solution to this?

Please help me i want to play,

i have had that problem before and it wasnt the card but it was the game. although it wasn't with that card either. some games have gamma problems with the cards used and you can try to ajust the gamma but beware that if it starts to work you can screw up the color to an unreal state. the only true fix i found was a game launcher like creative uses and that might be nonexistant in ati software. sorry if i didn't help but good luck
