my hard drive has AD1881 of sis630 after my system got infected with virus i closed the whole windows 98 and reinsatlled it after that my PC has no sound . how should i install it again , from where do i get a free download for it

right here (ftp://ftp.shuttle.com/Drivers/audio/AD1881/) you didn't say which 98 version you have...
If you have trouble installing the 98se ones - they install but you get no sound, try the 95 or 98 (vxd) ones, this is a different type of driver that 98se can use and works better sometimes than the wdm type for 98se and above
