compaq Armada 1750 6300/T/4000/D/0/1

i got the above named Compaq laptop, the problem i have is that the windows screen is too small, its almost as if when u set ur pexils to a lower settings. it is currently on 640*480 and 16 colors, it wouldnt let me select the 800*600 or even 1024*768 pixels and hence neither the color setting would change.



someone suggested it could be the VGA driver, the driver im currently using is a standerd win 98 driver, and the vga is ATi VGA wonder

Does anyone else has come come across the same or even a similar problem?

its so irritatting not being able to see the full screen, so please someone helpppppppp!!!
