I just installed windows 2000 onto my compaq presario 1200 but the modem would not work, with the usual yelllow question mark on the PCI Simple Communications Controller entry in Device manager.
I have spent hours hoping to get a driver for this device to no avail... someone here please help.

It says it is for the Compaq Presario 1200US Notebook PC. Is this your correct model?
If not, then try going here (http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Lookup?h_lang=en&h_cc=us&cc=us&h_page=hpcom&lang=en&h_client=S-A-R163-1&h_pagetype=s-002&h_query=presario+1200+&submit.x=8&submit.y=6) and select the correct model number.
