Upgraded to XP from Win98 now nothing working

I have a Compaq presario 5220 that was running Win98. I successfully installed XP and everything was running fine. I also installed a new CD Burner and still everything worked. However when I was installing the drivers fro linksys wireless USB Network Adapater the install hung half way through. After waiting 10 mins, i was forced to reboot the system. Now, i can't even see the red compaq screen to get to the bios.

Any ideas? Hope it's not the motherboard, but the timeing seems a little odd.

Open up your computer and make sure none of the Ide cables came off there slots that happens somtimes when you install new hardware in it,It happend to me once.. and the same exact problem accured with my Pc I opened it up and bingo I saw something was unpluged problem solved I hope thats the case with you Be EaZY
