I just got a PCMCP100 ethernet card for my laptop. I switched from a 3com 3C905TX, which worked great but had a broken dongle. I haven't been able to get windows to see any other computers on the network using the linksys. it reads a link on the hub and says the device is functioning, but no link to the network printer, no ping to any other computers, nothing. I've had this happen to other computers, but it generally clears up after a while. this hasn't.
i've tried all the drivers from the linksys website, and some new ones off driverguide, but haven't had any luck. Also, windows doesn't acknowledge that any of the drivers from linksys are even for the hardware it sees. That's weird.
Anybody know what I should do? I'm thinking of reinstalling the OS anyway, that might do something.
