Xpert 128 and Direct X 8.0

I have a xpert128 pci 16mb video card. I downloaded the newest drivers posted on the ATI website for this card. I have had to install Direct x 8.0 for some of the games I play. Now my system wants to lock up whenever i maximize or minimize a window. DxDiag says there are no problems in the display. WHat is happening? any suggestions?

Try uninstalling the drivers and then reinstalling them. Make you sure you go into Add/Remove programs and remove any ATI listing there.
