Need help with Compaq 5670 bios

I just install Window XP Pro on 40 Gig Hard drive on the new computer. I wanna put it in the Compaq Presario 5670, I set it to Cable Select. but somehow it doesn't pick up when I turn the computer on. When I put it back to the new computer it does work. So my guess is that i need to update my BIOS on the old computer. I downloaded the SP10911 on microsoft website and have the BIOS on my floppy disk. Then when I put it in the old computer floppy disk it doesnt pick up. I dont know how to set up the BIOS in Compaq. It not the same as my new computer such as Boot Priority.. Please help :eek:
