I talked to HP about getting the CDs and floppies that came with the Presario 4860. Since Microsoft no longer supports Windows 95 or Windows 98, they no longer sell them, and they are in the public domain, and several companies are selling them. One company is even selling a CD set that has the recovery files for all the Presarios. I would like to arrange to download these files from someone. Email me at mreedb@gmail.com , using the Title "Presario 4860 Files" so I won't trash it by mistake! Someone should start a site that contains all these QuickRecovery CDs and floppies! If people send me them, or arrange for me to DL them, I will set up such a site. How about it? I'd love to get this old 4860 going. Its a historic box, being the first PC to handle VCR in and out, and flash sticks. The first real MultiMedia PC really. I am an old computer nerd who built his first analog computer in 1972, and I collect old PCs and Macs, and put them to work on my LAN. Having a fully fuctional 4860 running its original software would vbe a real feather in my LAN! :)
