I just installed a new ATI Radeon DDR 64mb video card. Now whenever I play Counsterstrike in any video mode, OpenGL, Direct 3d or software mode it freezes right after I join the grame and reboots or locks up my computer. I have reformatted my hard drive, reinstalled Win Me and uninstalled and reinstalled the video card several times with no luck. Anyone have any ideas what may be causing this?

AMD 700mhz Thunderbird
Gigabyte 7IXE Mobo
256mb RAM
ATI Radeon DDR VIVO AGP 64mb video card (using 4.12.3063 driver)
Soundblaster Live! X-Gamer 5.1 Sound Card
Win Me
DirectX 8a

Help me please.

Some AMD based motherboards have had some trouble running both W2K and WinME. It's highly recommended that you download and flash your motherboard's BIOS to the latest version. Also, it's important that you dowload VIA's latest 4-in-1 drivers (http://www.viahardware.com/download/index.shtm#4in1) and install them. That should help your problem... http://forums.windrivers.com//cgi-bin/forum2/biggrin.gif

As teh GA7Ixe is an AMD750 based motherboard teh Via 4-in-1 drivers will not do a thing to help.

Goto AMD's website and download the latest AMD AGP update, USB update & chipset utilities.
