Seeking Win'98 drivers for Compaq Presario S5000NX

Good evening all,

The old clunker passed away BUT its organ downer card was located so
I moved the disk drive, containing Win'98se, into the guts on a "newer"
Compaq Presario S5000NX.

Now, life in the "safe mode" has me depressed. Compaq/HP released this
Presario when XP was the Ops-de-jour. They felt no need to make drivers
for old timers like me.

What I need are Win'98 compatible drivers for the audio, the video and the
LAN functions. (all on-board). I'm sure I'll find more needs later.
ie: modem, etc.

If anyone can steer in the right direction, I would really be most grateful.

As you already know, Compaq/HP does not supply Win98 drivers for your particular model.

But you can go here to find Product Specs, Manuals, etc.

Hi DonJ,

Thank you for the transplantation of my post. I think I'll get it right next
time. While I'm here, I'd just like to say that this is the best presented
and best maintained internet forum I've seen to date. It's ON topic, it's
tidy and it's easy to use.

I briefly looked at the links that you sent and I'll get back to them as soon
as I catch up on some domesticallis. (house work)
