lbp8III plus

I have been trying to install an LBP8III Plus on my NT4 server. I keep getting 'file not compatible with architecture' or similar error messages despite the fact that i have chosen each of the options in turn. Is there a driver or installation software required for this printer over and above what is already in NT4?
The Canon sites have been of little value.
