I am looking for a complete update to all the software necessary to use a Colorado T1000 I tried at Colorado(HP) but this Tape Driver is no longer serviced by the company
and no longer in production. I want to get the latest setup drivers for the drive for Windows 95/98 and MS-DOS and Windows NT

I sure would appreciate any help thats recieved.

I am having the same problem with the
HP Colorado T1000e. I also can't get my tape backup to work with Win98. It was working with my Win95.

I can't seem to find much useful help posted on HP site. I have tried the things they suggested but still no luck.

I wonder if they Colorado Backup II would solve the problem or not?? Has anyone who couldn't get it to work with the old software got it to work with the new Backup II software???

Since your posting on the Windrivers.com message boards, I've notices HP has put the software, updated, (Colorado Backup II) for the tape drive back on their site. But it costs $30 plus S&H. (According to the info
on the site, it's good for the T1000 and the T1000e for DOS, Win 95 and 98. But not NT. see http://www.hp.com/cposupport/information_storage/support_doc/lpg10723.html)

If it weren't so wrong, I'd theoretically be interested in going "in" on it with a few people, as $30 is a lot to me. I'm still looking for it free, also. Let's share info/ leads, and maybe take advantage of my access to a cd burner (for the legal sharing of data only, of course)? Please contact me.

I too am a frustrated user of the Colorado
T1000e backup. Have not been able to use this device since switching to Win98

Not sure yet, but the backup software that ships with Win98 seems to recognize my T1000e
using a QIC-80 driver (calls it a QIC-80 Parallel Port Backup device) So far, I have been able to get the software to correctly open an old backup set and seems to be formatting one of my tapes as I write this
message.

If anyone has success using the Win98 Backup software or is aware of any limitations it has, please post a reply

Thanks
