I need to udgrade the memory in a Presario 5070

I need to udgrade the memory in a Presario 5070. It has 32 MB and I need to have 96 or 128 MB, but I don know how are filled the banks available (Bank 1 and 2). For example, can I install 32 Mb in Bank 0 and 64 MB in Bank 1 to obtain 96 MB?. Please I need to know a.s.a.p.<br />Leo

Go here to download the <a href="http://web14.compaq.com/falco/sp_syn.asp?recid=presario5000.pdf" target="_blank">Quick Reference Guide for your Presario</a>. It looks like you can max out at 384MB of RAM.

Go here to view the online version of the <a href="http://web14.compaq.com/falco/sp_syn.asp?recid=NA5000" target="_blank">Maintenance & Service Manual for the Presario 5000 Series</a>. Lots of good info there.

Normally, you would put the larger capacity of the DIMMs into the lower number slot...for example, put the 64MB in slot 0 and put the 32MB in slot 1.
