I have a compaq deskpro nt127036 /166mmx/16mb I wish to upgrade to 32mb and have tried replacing with a fujitsu 32mb pc66 dimm, and on reboot and starting up NT, the screen was full of gobledegook. On refiting original dimms the pc rebooted ok... If my replacement dimms is not compatable, what should I be looking for...Thanks..

another Compaq Problem that only Compaq can solve by charging the earth for extra RAM.

I have lost count of the amount of sales I have lost through people buying branded systems only to find that the RAM or other components will not work in them.

I am afraid that if you cannot get the identical type of RAM that was supplied with the system then you are stuck.
