Recently I have installed a SCSI Yamaha CD-BURNER in my computer. Since then I have problems reading some DVDs or accessing some DVD features. Let's say I put the gladiator DVD in my DVD player and it won't recognised it. I got something like "PC-DVD has a problem reading you DVD-ROM". For some other DVDs, I can play the movie but I got the same error when I try to access other features (trailer, etc). Does anybody have any idea ? I have tried reintalling my DXR3 card and the PC-DVD software but it does not work. I have also tried to restore previous versions of the following dll: wnaspi32.dll and apix.vxd but with no success !! Any help would be great !!

I bought a Creative Labs Encore 12x PC-DVD drive with Dxr-3 decoder. The Creative Labs beta drivers drove my W2K computer to BSODs consistently until I finally removed all its drivers. New Hollywood drivers are supposed to fix the problem, but I haven't tried them yet. Read more about some fixes with the Dxr-3 decoder card here (http://www.digitalleisure.com/dxr3.html). In the meantime, make sure your IDE controllers are set to run in DMA mode. I found my DVD drive to be really picky about that... http://forums.windrivers.com//cgi-bin/forum2/biggrin.gif

Also when you installed your cdr did it change the drive letter of the DVD? If so, change it back and see if that fixes it. Make sure DMA is enabled, remove all dvd software, restart and reinstall.
