H45 Does not respond nor have they updated any drivers since 98 2nd edition/NT 4.0 thus rendering my laptops external drives useless.Any one have any suggestions or an ability to write new XP capable drivers?

Did you check that your laptop and its peripherals where on the microsoft HCL before loading XP? If they are not there, you should consider loading an os that supports your hardware.

I had already done research on the potentual hardware conflicts/problems, and yes I have options to use alternate OS's. But that's not my problem, as most already know many drivers that work with 2000 although not supported will work with xp. And I had already been able to use the 2000 drivers (not even supported by H45)with my laptop with early pre beta whistlers,beta and RC1 xp, and even an early pre blackcolmb, but not any luck with RC2 XP or XP RTM. The 2 latter releases will not allow me to force installation of non-supported drivers. I'm only asking if anyone know what will work. I have no problem using ME or 2000 both of which are not supported but work flawlessly.
