Hi,
If u are using a Speed Motherboard(intel 810 chipset), then make sure you install these software which is available on the Speed drivers CD,:-
1.Crystal Wavetable Software( [CDDRIVE]:\Crystal\cs4299\Wavetable\win9x)
2.Crystal Audiostation Software ([CDDRIVE]:\Crystal\Audiostation\Setup.exe)
If U are not using the above mentioned MotherBoard, try to get those softwares.
By the way please send me any news on CS4299 drivers(like updates)
