WindowsMe has drivers in-built for this Cyrstal chipset.

I know, I have the card....

I have gone back to Windows98SE for no though...

I recently installed Me and just used the drivers that came with Me. Now everytime a new audio snippet is loaded it the whole system (mouse cursor included) pauses for a second or two and then plays. Also sometimes audio files distort (in a digital way)when playing. Is it the drivers or some settings that need to change. BTW the computer has 128MB of RAM.

These cards suck!!! No support for the ****ty drivers they deliver and then want to
send you on a wild-goose chase for some screwball messages that Cirrus Logic doesn't do this and doesn't do that! All I can say is chalk one up for SoundBlaster Cards, at least they make fixes for their Ut Oh's!!!!

*These cards suck*

As much as I don't want to admit it, I'm starting to beleive it.

Well actually, the sound card itself isn't that bad, there's worse beleive me. But the support for these cards are absolutely terrible. Sound Blaster Live is starting to really sound juicey at this point.

You'd think part of running a sucessfull business is to offer support for your product in a "user friendly" manner. Guess Cirrus Logic makes enough $$ they aren't forced to give two sh*ts. They're too concearned about making their 24 bits cards that only sound professionals would purchase. And exactly what type of support do they think they are going to get when half of the new software out there won't even recgonize it. Most likely downsample the sound back down to 16 bit.

Priorities people! Geez
