AW32 Pro and Sidewinder Joystick

System: P200MMX, W95, DirectX6.1

Soundcard = Acer AW32 Pro, latest drivers
(= v2.10f dated 1996!)

Joystick= MS Sidewinder Pro

Problem = I get the 'Not connected" error whenever I try to upgrade
the MS Sidewinder drivers above v 1.0.
V 1.5, 2.0 and 3.02 all report
this, even though the stick works fine with v 1.0.

The MS DirectX and Sidewinder troubleshooters are no help.

Anyone got any ideas? Are there some generic Crystal drivers that
might work?

Check the filenames and file descriptions at the HTTP web site above. I think that there are a couple of patch files for this problem. However, you will need to use the FTP link above in order to actually get the driver(s). Acer has changed their FTP directory structure, but has not updated the HTTP page accordingly.
