Epson C60 Printer

Epson tech didn't provide satisfactory help to solve the problem that still exists. On start up of my computer, the message appears epson printer port: dirver or service failed on startup. Need to remove this message each computer startup.
I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the solfware....no help
I have already deleted the error box on their program
I have already established the correct port to use
I have already established that the printer still works fine.

How do I get rid of the repeat messasge?

Which version of Windows are you using?

Maybe you can go into Startup and delete that application that tries to startup on each bootup.

Just a suggestion...

I take it you've already been to Epson's website and downloaded the latest drivers:
http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/s...oType=Overview

Manuals and brochures are also available from that same link.

Thanks Don for your ideas. Last night I again gave up on epson tech support. They don't trouble shoot, they just send me the standard pre-printed suggestion, whether it works or not. But last night I went to google again and typed in the problem. It seems that the CD rom has two drivers, one for windows xp and the other is for windows 2000, both on the same rom. So the suggestion was to uninstall only the driver which had a red X through it,....problem solved completely. I have no plans to educate or tell the epson tech people. This correction to solve the problem only took ten seconds to compete. Their approaches wated one hour from my like.
Thanks again for your suggestions.

Glad you got it figured out.

And thanks for posting your outcome as you just might have helped somebody else in the future.

Hello guys!

Can anyone help me with my Epson C60 printer?I have put two new cartridges in colour and Black but when I ask it to print it goes through the motions but nothing appears on the paper. Is there a pressure point I should be looking at, or could there be another reason. Any help would be welcome!

Check my link posted above. It has other links for FAQ's, Troubleshooting Guide, Manuals, etc. Lots of good stuff there.

Good Luck!
