Updates for GA-5AX

I purchased this motherboard in Nov 98. This is my first visit here. I notice that there are numerous updates for the GA-5AX.
My question is; do I have to update each one in succession, or will the latest version be sufficient?

its ok to go fo the last one but be warned if you use DVD you might notice some performance loss with the f3 patch
