GA-6CxC-1 Audio Driver & DirectX

Is anyone aware of an updated audio driver for the on-board audio card of the GA-6CXC-1 (Intel 820 AGPset)? I've found many drivers on Gigabyte's web site, but can't tell which one is the correct one. How can I find this? I'm looking to see if an updated driver will allow me to run EA Sports NHL 2001. Dx8 (which I have installed) utility shows the audio driver is not Dx compatable.
