Hi there,
after spending a lot of time with a mystery problem on a high protocol level (both Win NT and Win 9x), I found that replacing the Linksys driver LNEPCI2.SYS with the Winbond driver W940ND.SYS solved the problem! Since I can't get any comment out of Linksys, does anybody know whether this has any potential drawbacks? Thanks, cu Martin |

I have a couple of EtherPCI LAN Card II , but I can't seem to find the right drivers for them. Linksys only has the drivers for the cards that have both RJ-45 and BNC on them. Mine only has RJ-45 and I can't seem to find the drivers for it anywhere. Any help?

Hi Martin, Wondering if you can help. I have the same network card in the PC I shipped my son off to college. They use TCP/IP protocol. His problem is that if he's lucky enough to get into the network, he soon gets dropped. And it's always very slow. His room mate (different card) has no problems. I was going to try the latest drivers. The Linksys FTP site isn't working. Then I found your note. Any suggestions on what to try? How do you substitute the Winbond driver in WIn95?
Thanks in advance..Peter Quote:
