I have a Matsu****a CR-562B CD-ROM connected to the sound card of my 486. It worked great until I lost my drivers, and had to reinstall with DOS and Win95 drivers I found here. Win95 and DOS both recognize the drive, assign it a letter, and the drive light goes on on bootup and when I select the drive in Win95.
The problem is: when i switch to the drive in either Win95 or DOS, the drive whirs, the light goes on...but it comes up with a "Drive Not Ready: Retry/Cancel" error message. Very strange. Win95 reports that the drive is working properly...but it isn't! What could the problem be? Thank you for any info. |
