DVD video Decoders

Anyone know where I can find some DVD decoders that will work with DVD-ROM SR-8171 under windows 2000.

I am in the same boat, I have looked everywhere and cannot find these decoders if you find out please let me know. I will do the same!

Anyone have any luck obtaining drivers?

I think I might have been looking for the wrong thing. I'm currently looking for win2000 drivers for the LuxSonor LS242 chipset which is what the DVD-ROM drive uses.

Still no luck finding anything tho *pout*

Well, looks like I found some information,
and it's not good. Looks like LuxSonor does
not have the ability to port it's drivers
over to win2000. So they are releasing the
source code to the public. Below is the URL
to the source code. If anyone get's a port
up and running let me know.

Forgot to mention it looks like Microsoft has
a version of the driver as a demo in their
Driver Development Kit according to the URL
below, but after downloading the 67MB DDK I
haven't been able to find it.

Looks like Dell has an evaluation driver
which kinda works ok.
