Problems with Motorola ISA modem

I have just bought a PC from a company called Protek (who I DON'T recommend) and I had to install Win98 my self. It went on fine but when I try to install the modem drivers it come up with a little box saying "Severe Error: SM56 Hardware Not found"
I know there is a modem in my PC but it won't work. HELP PLEASE!!!!!

I had the same problem, go into the control panel you should have an unkdevice, run the modem drivers on that it will install the modem
