Red face NO SOUND AFTER WIN98 INSTALLED, HELP!!!

AFTER INSTALLING WIN 98 MY COMPUTER IS MUTE, I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING. NOTHING WORKS. IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS OR INFO ON HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM LET ME KNOW. BETTER YET PLEASE SEND A DRIVER ASAP SO THAT MY OPTI 82C931 SOUND CARD WILL TALK TO ME.

Question

Same thing happened here if you find out anything plese let me know I am going to reinstall then replace if I have to with different Sound Card.
will wait a few days though.

I got the sound card to work go to lycos and look for this file 931w95c it is a 1.? MB file on a ftp server it will download, then unzip it, install it and enjoy!

p.s the go!zilla program really works great you might try that also.
Also remember you will have to use the large file that comes up in the search. The small one, I.E. 186kB, will not cut it! any questions email me

to snookie - Opti931 and Opti933 drivers are on the Win98 disk - look under Drivers, Audio, Opti, and there they are. Use "Add New Hardware" icon in Control Panel, skip auto detect, got to Sound and Video, and then select "Have Disk" and have the Win98 disk in the CD Drive. Cruise to the Drivers/Audio/Opti section and select "Opti931" from the file window.

This worked for me...
