I cant get my sony monitor to go better than 16 colors

I have a "SONY, TRINITRON Multiscan 15sx" monitor, Iam running it on a Pentium 11 system but it wont go any better than 16 colors in the color management window.
I have downloaded a few drivers and tried to install from the A: but it always comes back saying no software for my device is listed.
I have even entered the F.C.C I.D# which is"GWG CPD 15sx1" on the NET searches but to no avail.
Please help , I feel that I have the only monitor with no drivers in the world .
