trident 9850 3D SVGA card

anyone : I have above card running with a AOC model 4V monitor. Curent OS is windows95. There is a problem with screen stability, i.e. it blinks after a while, quite madding.
Current known parameters; display properties, hardware acceleration ; set to none ; refresh rate = optimal; 256 colors; driver sgiel98.drv. I have a feeling this may be a refresh rate problem. does anybody know anything about this? The Trident information on this is nil. It doesn't list this card type. Is this card not downward compatible.? Any info at all would be greatly helpful. a contact, phone # (forget trident there useless). Thanks.......tc
